WEC 47 will be held on March 6, 2010 in Columbus, Ohio with a card headlined by a world bantamweight championship fight between title-holder Brian Bowles and number one challenger Dominick Cruz.

Brian Bowles is an undefeated fighter who’s coming out of a KO victory over Miguel Torres at WEC 42 – Torres vs. Bowles on 8/9/2009. He sports a 8-0 MMA record, five of his wins are by way of submission.

Dominick Cruz has only one loss appearing on his MMA record, and that was against Urijah Faber at WEC 26 – Las Vegas on 3/24/2007. Since, he won his last five fights and his coming out of a victory against Joseph Benavidez at WEC 42 – Torres vs. Bowles on 8/9/2009. He owns a 14 -1 MMA fight record. That’s a tough one to call…

Also featured on the card, the comeback of the previous bantamweight champion Miguel Angel Torres, as well as the return of former UFC lightweight titleholder Jens Pulver.
