UFC Fighter Tito Ortiz Autographed Sports Memorabilia – Signed MMA Glove, Photo, Poster – Mixed Martial Arts Legend

titoh21061Tito Ortiz was an ancient UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, from April 14, 2000 to September 26, 2003.

He became extremely popular for his antics, most of the time quite vulgar, and by being really good at using medias to promote his fights.

Ortiz’s MMA first appearance was at UFC 13 in 1997. Still in college, Ortiz contended as an amateur for no salary or contracts. He beat Wes Albritton in an alternate fight by referee stoppage at 0:31 of the first round. He was chosen to face Guy Mezger in the Lightweight final to replace an injured Enson Inoue. He lost the fight in finale but made a victorious comeback at UFC 18.

Ortiz defeated Wanderlei Silva for the vacant light heavyweight title at UFC 25 via unanimous decision. He went on to defend the belt five times in the following three years, defeating Yuki Kondo, Evan Tanner, Elvis Sinosic, Vladimir Matyushenko and Ken Shamrock.

Randy Couture put an end to his winning cycle by getting an unanimous decision at UFC 25.

He was also a coach on the Ultimate Fighter 3 reality show on Spike TV along with is long time enemy Ken Shamrock In November 2005. The finale fight was his third win against Shamrock.

He is also famous for his media war against Dana White and the messages he wrote on the t-shirt he made for each fight. He’s considered extremely greedy, talking only about cash and plugging all the time his clothing line Punishment Athletic.

You can still get lots of signed Tito Ortiz even if the fighter is no longer competing.
