The UFC Fight Night 20: Maynard vs. Diaz would air on Spike TV on January 11, 2010. It’s going to be the fist presence of the UFC in the state of Virginia. According to Dana White, the state of Virginia could be a land site for upcoming expansion.

Nate Diaz, winner of “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 5, will face Gray Maynard in a rematch as a main event fight. Both fighters already met each other in the semi final of the Ultimate Fighter on 2007. Diaz submitted Maynard with a guillotine choke.

Diaz is coming out of a victory against Melvin Guillard via Guillotine Choke at UFC Fight Night 19 on September 16, 2009 and sports a 11-4 MMA record.

Maynard is coming out of a victory against Roger Huerta by split decision UFC Fight Night 19 on September 16, 2009 and sports an undefeated MMA record of 8-0. Both men didn’t fight since over a year, UFC fight Night 19 was their last appearance for both.
