The UFC released the DVD version of the original VHS of UFC 5 Return Of The Beast. It was an 8 man tournament with the winner getting a $50,000 check and the losers… nothing. 
The tournament format at the time was:
- no weight classes
- no weight limits
- no rounds
- no judges
It was the first UFC event featuring a Superfight. UFC 5 was also the first UFC event to feature time limits. A 20 minute time frame was imposed for the quarter and semi-final fights. The final fight of the tournament and the Superfight had a 30 minute time limit.
