The Ultimate Fighting Championship makes a stop at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tenesee. The main fight features a Lightweight Championship bout where the champion will defend his title against TUF winner Diego Sanchez.

BJ Penn is coming out of a victory against Kenny Florian at UFC 101 – Declaration via Rear-Naked Choke. In the opposite octagon’s side Diego Sanchez is coming out of a win against Clay Guida at UFC – The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale. He is 4-1 in his last 5 fights and sports an impressive 21-2 MMA record. I personally don’t think he can make it against Penn, but he is a serious contender for sure.

Mir will square off with the dangerous French kickboxer Cheick Kongo. Mir needs to get some wins in order to get a third fight with Lesnar. Kongo is not an easy fight to get Mir back on a title fight road.

Thiago Alves, the rising Brazilian star is coming out of a loss against GSP at UFC 100 – Lesnar vs. Mir 2 and need to score some win to get back on title fight track. Once again, Paulo Thiago is not an easy opponent.
