The main event fight of the night will feature the first light heavyweight title defense of Lyoto Machida Vs. Mauricio Rua. It’s going to be an all Brazilian war.

Lyoto Machida won his Light Heavyweight Championship at UFC 98 on May 23, 2009 against Rashad Evans, finisher of Chuck Liddell, who got his title against Forrest Griffin at UFC 92. The light Heavyweight category changes his king often as the crowned fighter stays titled a few fights before losing the belt.

Let’s see if Mauricio Rua can win the belt versus his countryman. Rua is coming off a win against Chuck Liddell at UFC 97. The fight was reported as being the last appearance of the Iceman in the octagon from Dana White himself. Before that, Shogun got the win against Mark Coleman in a not impressive fashion. The Brazilian looked out of shape and running out of air really early in the fight.

This is the only announced fight up to know. I’ll update the post as soon as, I get more info about it.
