Everyone following the UFC regularly knows it, Dana White is a salesman, he hypes everything under contract in the UFC in order to sell tickets. However, people have a short memory, so it’s cool to remind them from time to time. All the trash talk, feud and cheers he has are only commercially oriented. Nevertheless, with Kimbo it’s so big that I wonder how people still give a damn about everything he says.

It was obvious that Dana White was mad at ELiteXc to have signed the fighter before him. He turned crazy when he saw the ELiteXc numbers with Kimbo as a main event. His lame tactics to air free old UFC fights on Spike during the ELiteXc broadcast was a cheap attempt to counter opposition.

Remember, the UFC is a commercial company. Their aim is to make money.

The biggest news of the week is without a doubt Kimbo Slice going to the UFC reality show on Spike TV.

All the self-proclaimed MMA fans are shocked and pissed at Kimbo being on the show. However, it is a great move from Dana White. Kimbo is the most popular MMA fighter around the world since his first fight.

He’s going to bring more fans to the Ultimate Fighting Championship than any other fighter ever done before. Dana White used his fame for free when he was insulting him heavily while the bearded brawler was in EliteXC. Now that the fighter is a free agent, he signed him asap and suddenly,  he is not the garbage fighter he once was.

TUF 10 is going to be the biggest Ultimate Fighter event ever produced on Spike TV. Now they do not rely exclusively on the coaches’ fame and the brutality of the sport to sell the reality show to the fans. With Kimbo, they have the biggest name in MMA to get new viewers attention.

It’s a win-win situation for Dana White. If Kimbo Slice turns out to be good, he’s going to have a new extremely popular fighter under contract in the UFC. If he loses badly, he’s going to prove him right about his ancient critics and the UFC is still going to get new fans from him.

You can expect a wise matchmaking from the UFC. They certainly won’t kill the cash cow like EliteXc did few months ago. They will certainly build his career up slowly, cashing in all the money they can make, all the way to a title fight.

His story will certainly be scripted by Hollywood soon since it holds all the drama and storylines needed to make a brilliant blockbuster movie. From the street to the spotlights of CBS after being one of the Youtube stars that made it to the top.

Each country has their share of local personalities that came from Youtube and alike, but Kimbo is, in my book, the only one that turned immensely popular around the world.

His street fights are among the most seen videos on the tube and only because of that he became the poster-boy of defunct EliteXc and was featured as a main event fighter at his first fight.

Finally, it was too fast too soon and seth Petruzelli put a halt to this scripted like career in 14 seconds. Now Kimbo is struggling his way out of contractual problems since he still owes few MMA fights to the new org that owns all EliteXC’s fighters contract.

He has been quoted looking for a boxing career now. His fighting style being Taylor made for the sweet science of fighting. Maybe his fame will help him to sign a contract in this sport, who knows?

“Boxing is really my first desire. I have a lot of love for it and believe I can do pretty well. MMA is somewhat of a project for me. Boxing is one dimensional while there are a lot of dimensions in MMA. I don’t think it would be a hard transition from MMA to stand-up boxing because of my fighting style,”

“Not taking anything away from boxing preparation, MMA training is extremely hard,” said Ferguson. “When you consider martial arts training, you have to prepare for kicks to the head and legs, and opponents wanting to grapple and throwing you to the ground, pounding you with their knees and hands, whereas in boxing you just have to be prepared to weave and bob although the training can be just as intense. At this point, in my career, I want to take that same drive and focus that I invested in MMA and put that into training for pro-boxing cards.”

I hope he’ll do good in boxing. He still has two MMA fights on his contract before he can set free to his new venture.

That was his last fight before he got signed to face former world champion boxer Ray Mercer at Cage Fury Fighting Championship 5 in an MMA exhibition fight.

The fight is actually OK and Chico is a hell of a streetfighter, but Kimbo was too strong for him and he got knocked out.

A good one from Kimbo. The guy was good at the beginning. But Kimbo got mad after being hit on the ground, which wasn’t allowed in this bare knuckle only rule streetfight.

The Kimbo crew argued for ages in order for the fight continue. The bouncer wasn’t really interested, but they insisted so much that he finally fought again. Not for long… The guy even lost a dread lock!!!

This is by far, in my humble opinion, the best Kimbo Slice street fight.

Adrian is a legit fighter. The guy is real tough and is not afraid one bit by the big black brawler.

I personally think that the winning punch from Kimbo is really unfair. He punched him in the back of the head while Adrian was escaping. I know he was running away, but it was really a sucker punch.

At the beginning of the fight, Adrian was all over him. The guy was pressing the fight, but his boxing technique was too poor and almost no punch landed.

That was his 6th street fight and his popularity was getting all over the Internet back then.

4th and 5th Kimbo Slice Streetfight where he fought 2 guys in a row.

Afro Puff was an easy win even if the guy is freaking tall and looks huge, but fat. He puts a knee on the ground and refuses to continue after the first punch.

Big Mac is tougher. He’s getting knocked 4 or 5 times and comeback every time. I don’t think he landed a single punch, but he took many. It was shot in the same Abandoned Ship Yard as the fight against Rasta dude. Probably, near the Nasty Dollars office.

Kimbo third streetfight.

That was an easy one. Kimbo needed a win after the Gannon loss.

You can see that Kimbo is acting a lot (badly) “He can’t be over“. Probably, because Gannon was signed to the UFC due to their fight fame.

This is where they certainly understood the career possibility for him and staged the entire thing. He was better in later streetfights.

The uppercut was cool and the poor overweight rasta man had enough of it. Actually, he lost as soon as he saw Kimbo coming out of his Homer… Funny one!

The first fight against Big D was everywhere on the Internet and finally end up on MMA.TV website, where Boston police officer and amateur MMA fighter Sean Gannon noticed it and thought very little of Kimbo Slice skills.

The fight is really long and Kimbo’s corner is all over the place arguing against Sean Gannon MMA skills. Supposedly, guillotine, knees and ground fighting were not allowed… But Kimbo slugs Gannon while he’s on the ground which is also against the rules.

Anyway, Gannon got little fame from this fight and was signed for a fight in the UFC… He got dismantled by Brandon Lee Inckle in the first round with endless shoulder strikes to the face. A revenge was supposed to take place between Gannon and Kimbo, but Slice failure at EliteXC Heat put an end to it.
