Herschel Walker, the football player legend will make his first run in a sanctioned MMA fight. Walker is regarded as one of the top colleges running backs of all time. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999.

.”I’ve been training for several years. I would play college football games on Saturday and then compete in martial arts tournaments on Sunday after church. I’m now looking forward to opening up another chapter in my life and to compete in MMA,” alleged Walker in a press release.

Nick Diaz, the third MMA superstar fighter announced for the event is coming out of a five wins streak. The most noticeable was a TKO victory against Frank Shamrock at Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Diaz on November 4, 2009 in San Jose, California.
