That fight happened at Hardcore Championship Fighting at The Stampede Corral in Calgary, Alberta on 10/19/2007. It was the 6th fight for Sarah Kaufman and Marquez was quite more experienced than her when they met.

Well, she had more fight but sported a 5- 6-1 fight record at the day of the fight. She only had a fight after that defeat, scoring a victory against Atsuko Emoto at Smackgirl – World ReMix 2008 Second Round on 4/25/2008. She has a 6-7-1 MMA record and seams to be out of competition.

On the other hand, Sarah Kaufman was quite busy since that bout, fighting 4 times against top competition, 3 bouts in 2009. She’s coming out of a victory against the popular and dangerous Shayna Baszler. She’s now 10-0-0 in MMA and is one of the most promising female fighter in Mixed Martial Arts.

Sarah Kaufman won the HCF battamweight female title.
