Ken Shamrock is one of the most popular MMA fighters in the old days of the UFC.

He started his career in MMA back at UFC 1 and became famous for his epic battle against Royce Gracie at UFC 5: The Return of the Beast for the Superfight title. The fight was called a draw after 36 minutes of action because there were no judges.

Shamrock was fighting also in Pancrase organization in Japan before he entered UFC 1. He left the Ultimate Fighting Championship after UFC The Ultimate 2 in 1996 to go back to Japan, this time in an MMA org, the Pride Fighting Championship.

One of his most famous fights in Pride’s ring were his split decision lost to Don Frye at Pride 19. Because of the fight itself, but also for the trash talk promo both fighters used heavily to sell the fight.

He came back to the UFC octagon in 2002 at UFC 40: Vendetta and started his 0-3 crusade against Tito Ortiz, until he got released by the UFC after UFC – Ortiz vs. Shamrock 3: The Final Chapter. That was also his final chapter in the UFC.

Recently, he got caught juicing after a fight in a Z level organization (his) in a last attempt to give a new start to his career and to book a fight against Tank Abbott and later this year against his adopted brother Frank Shamrock.

He sports a 27-13-2 MMA record and holds the most ridiculous nickname in Mixed Martial Arts: The World’s Most Dangerous Man!
