Joe son is a Jesus freak who was imploring the spirit of Jesus Christ in pre-fight promo. “You guys are going to see the spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ tonight” before walking to the cage carrying a gigantic crucifix… After doing nothing in the octagon except taunting Keith Hackney, he finally found a way to get punched more than 10 times in the groin.

That fight normally deserves the number one spot hands down in the Arrogant MMA Beefcakes Trash Talk Their Way to an Ass Kicking top Ten List, since you cannot find more ridiculous trash talk and a more embarrassing way to lose a fight… but the fight is so well-known that I had to dig a little deeper to be more original.

Plus the UFC at this time was a circus in its own way, so I think the Joe Son’s trash talk had less effect that it would have had in today MMA events. Still it’s a treasure of mediocrity and stupidity, like the entire Joe Son fighting career.
