MMA Brawl

That was before the fight against Cyborg. Shayna Baszler at that time was a beast in MMA.

That video is interesting, you learn that Baszler is an accomplish musician, a blues guitarist. She went to college on a music scholarship. She was a cello prodigy, they thought she might become the next Yo-yo Ma…. Strange that she turned out to be a female MMA fighter.

Anyway, back to MMA. Baszler has Josh Barnett in her corner, and they are fighting three 3 minutes around. Both fighters are quite confident and Tate isn’t afraid to trade with Baszler. Until they hit the ground with Shayna on top and get the mount quite easily. She finally finishes the fight with an armbar at 0:44 of the first round.

Shayna “The Queen of Spades” Baszler was 8-4 at the time of this fight. She is now sporting a fight record of 9-6, and she’s coming out of two consecutive losses against Cristiane Santos and Sarah Kaufman.
