Bas Rutten, the famous Dutch MMA fighter and color TV commentator do not need introduction to anybody interested in Mixed Martial Arts.

The younger fans might know him better for his funny antics on TV but he was 3 times King of Pankrase in Japan and former UFC heavyweight champion. He is also a certified Muay Thai instructor and holds black belts in Kyokushin karate and in Tae Kwon Do.

He is the founder of the Bas Rutten System and teaches his fighting style through seminars, in his gym classes, on DVD or in the fighting bible “Big Book of Combat”.

He actually produced an amazing list of self defense books and DVDs where he explains each aspect of his technique whether in self defense or in Mixed Martial Arts fighting style, the most famous DVD being Lethal Street Fighting. He is also the coach of the Youtube sensation, ex street fighter and now MMA fighter Kimbo Slice.
