Ken Shamrock is one of the most popular MMA fighters in the old days of the UFC.

He started his career in MMA back at UFC 1 and became famous for his epic battle against Royce Gracie at UFC 5: The Return of the Beast for the Superfight title. The fight was called a draw after 36 minutes of action because there were no judges.

Shamrock was fighting also in Pancrase organization in Japan before he entered UFC 1. He left the Ultimate Fighting Championship after UFC The Ultimate 2 in 1996 to go back to Japan, this time in an MMA org, the Pride Fighting Championship.

One of his most famous fights in Pride’s ring were his split decision lost to Don Frye at Pride 19. Because of the fight itself, but also for the trash talk promo both fighters used heavily to sell the fight.

He came back to the UFC octagon in 2002 at UFC 40: Vendetta and started his 0-3 crusade against Tito Ortiz, until he got released by the UFC after UFC – Ortiz vs. Shamrock 3: The Final Chapter. That was also his final chapter in the UFC.

Recently, he got caught juicing after a fight in a Z level organization (his) in a last attempt to give a new start to his career and to book a fight against Tank Abbott and later this year against his adopted brother Frank Shamrock.

He sports a 27-13-2 MMA record and holds the most ridiculous nickname in Mixed Martial Arts: The World’s Most Dangerous Man!

Anderson Silva is the current UFC Middleweight Champion. The Spider defended successfully his title against Thales Leites in a snoozefest main event fight that was booded by the Montreal crowd at UFC 97 a few days ago.

Silva is currently ranked as the number one middleweight in the world. His main style of fighting is the Muay Thai, but he is also a BJJ black belt that he got from Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira in 2006.

He presently owns the record for most uninterrupted victories in the Ultimate Fighting Championship after obtaining his 9th win overcoming Thales Leites in a 5 round unanimous decision. He also competed at Cage Rage and other MMA events including the Pride Fighting Championships, Shooto and Rumble on the Rock.

Nobody presents Kimbo Slice anymore! He is the most well-known MMA fighter in the world.

His story will certainly be scripted by Hollywood soon since it holds all the drama and storylines needed to make a brilliant blockbuster movie. From the street to the spotlights of CBS after being one of the Youtube stars that made it to the top.

Each country has their share of local personalities that came from Youtube and alike, but Kimbo is, in my book, the only one that turned immensely popular around the world.

His street fights are among the most seen videos on the tube and only because of that he became the poster-boy of defunct EliteXc and was featured as a main event fighter at his first fight.

Finally, it was too fast too soon and seth Petruzelli put a halt to this scripted like career in 14 seconds. Now Kimbo is struggling his way out of contractual problems since he still owes few MMA fights to the new org that owns all EliteXC’s fighters contract.

He has been quoted looking for a boxing career now. His fighting style being Taylor made for the sweet science of fighting. Maybe his fame will help him to sign a contract in this sport, who knows?

My Favorite supplements.

This post is meant to be updated regularly as I’m taking new supplement often.

As a fitness practitioner and kettlebell maniac I’m using and tried many supplement products. Of course I didn’t try all the products reviewed on this site… I would be like an inflated zombie by now.

Depending of your personal needs, you need specific supplements. You just can’t take everything. All the supplement products are good, but they are meant for a special goal each time. I have a Fedor Emelianenko type of body, so I don’t need gainer or creatine but fat burner and alike.

Whey Protein

Since the beginning, I’m taking Optimum 100% Whey Protein, 10 Lbs. Packaging. I choose that product first for the price and kept it for its quality. After much reading over the internet, lots of bodybuilders and fitness specialists claimed this whey protein to be one of the best.

Fat Burner

I tried many fat burners of all kinds. I didn’t get many results with L-Carnitine and regular fat burner supplements. I recently tried, and adopted, Animal Cuts 9 in 1 and finally achieved great outcome with this fat burner.

I’m right now starting my second Animal Cuts cycle after a week off the pills, like recommended on the packaging. I lost more weight and got more muscle definition in the last month than I got in 6 months of L-Carnitine, doing the same workout!

Natural Testosterone Booster

As you might have noticed, I reviewed many different Brands of Testosterone booster. I didn’t use all of them of course, but up to the day of today, I already tried 3 different brands. I’m starting now my second cycle using Axis-HT from BSN. It is the best one I tested up to now.

Here is my list:

Animal Test was also a good product, but I think I got better result with Axis-HT from BSN. Vitrix wasn’t really outstanding, I didn’t feel any progress with this one.

I’m going to test another Testosterone booster after I finish my Axis-HT cycle. I’ll try Vyo-Tech Viraloid since I read much interesting stuff about it. I’ll update this post after I’ll cycle it, since I became your guinea pig!

King Of The Cage (KOTC) was created in 1998 by Tedd Williams and Terry Trebilcock. It is perceived by many as the minor league of MMA. They are featuring rising MMA prospect and veteran from bigger organisations like the UFC.

KOTC produces their events, for the most part, in gambling casino, located in Indian reserves. KOTC has branched out their name to other promoters, that’s why today there is King Of The Cage events organized in Canada and Australia as well.

Lots of today established fighters started out their pro-career in KOTC. Champions like Quinton Rampage Jackson, Diego Sanchez, Keith Jardine, Rashad Evans, Mark Danzing and Paul Buentello among many others made it to the big league because of KOTC.
