Kettlebell | increase strength - endurance - agility and balance | total-body movements
Posted by Zdot on Apr 30, 2008
The Kettlebell is a traditional Russian weight, primarily used in the Army. It became popular in the United States due to the fitness instructor Pavel Tsatsouline.
They even started a Kettlebell championship,
Valery Fedorenko being the most popular champion along with Steve Maxwell.
The Kettlebell championship is, in my opinion, totally boring but it is probably the best tool you need for your MMA workout. Most of the MMA fighters are using the Kettlebell intensively in their training routine. It’s the best weight you can use. It will increase strength, endurance, agility and balance, challenging both the muscular and cardiovascular system with dynamic, total-body movements.
Training with Kettlebell can be harmful if not done properly. Ask advice to your trainer or get an instructional book or DVD about it. It looks easy but it’s not.
Check out Franck Shamrock using the Kettlebell in his training.

Bar Brawls Uncensored - The Best Drunk Fights - Special Deluxe Edition
Posted by Zdot on Apr 24, 2008
Out of all the streetfight/catfight DVDs I reviewed at MmaBrawl, Bar Brawls Uncensored is by far the funniest. I don’t know about you guys, but I always find drunk fights really funny. To see those fat drunks playing mister tough while trying to impress their hysterical girl friends is a must.
Witness drunk dudes falling out from their own punches is one of my favorite entertainments. It might sound stupid, but it’s true, I just love it.
Watch out drunk heads going crazy after the last call. Punching the air, the wall, themselves, or their own friends trying to separate them… If you like a good laugh while watching pricks going at it, this is a hell of a DVD.
All the fights are horrible and all the fighters, maybe good when sober, are pathetic. This is the best cross fighting ever. Beer crossed with whiskey and pot or whatever they might take to get high. This is the anti Anderson Silva or GSP. This DVD makes you look like a good fighter without even training!

Ultimate Stand Up Fighting 8 DVD set | Learn Cross Training with Rob McCullough - Vincent Soberano - Shonie Carter
Posted by Zdot on Apr 23, 2008
When Royce Gracie shocked the world, back at UFC1, everybody thought that BJJ was the ultimate art of fighting. A style that could beat every other disciplines of fighting. A lot of people thought that learning BJJ was enough to compete in the UFC.
But with the growing popularity of the UFC and more and more talented fighters from different horizon coming to compete in the octagon, it was rapidly proved that BJJ was not enough. Fighters started to borrow skills from different styles and slowly invented the cross training art of fighting. Today, only a well-rounded fighter using an highly elaborated cross training style can succeed in MMA.
In this 8 DVD set, three masters of cross-training, teach you the secret of their game. Rob McCullough covers the fundamentals of Muay Thai. Shonie Carter, along with Vincent Soberano teach you how to maximise your punching and striking power. Then, they all demonstrate the defense and offence technique to improve your game.

Treadmill - Cardio Endurance workout | Master Your MMA Workout
Posted by Zdot on Apr 17, 2008
Guys, if you want to be serious about your cardio workout, you have two choices: running outside or running on a treadmill. Running is the key of any serious workout.
I personally hate every minutes of it, but I have to admit that there’s nothing better than a treadmill workout. I find it even better than running outside because when you set up a high speed and a big incline, you have to run, no matter what. You have to wait untill the end of the damn program. Outside, you have lots of reasons to stop running…
You have many different types of treadmill depending on your budget. The biggest type have sophisticated monitoring devices such as step count, heart rate monitors, amount of calories expended, and a huge list of different programs you can customized. You can enter your age, weight and the machine tracks your progress. You can control your speed at all times of the run and you can change your speed while running.
Check out a great selection of treadmill on my preferred vendor sites. I’d suggest you not to buy the cheapest type. It won’t be a money saving at all. Even if they have the same functions, the solidity and reliability of the components will be completely different. It’s a lot of money so think twice before buying, lots of people are getting fed up real fast with this painful machine…

World’s Wildest Chick Fights - Shocking Girl Versus Girl Street Fights
Posted by Zdot on Apr 16, 2008
Dear maniacs, I find a new DVD in the Chick Fights category… World’s Wildest Chick Fights is the new compilation of ultra-sexy, violent and shocking girl versus girl street fights!
Those girls are in it for some serious cat fighting. Brutal bare-knuckle beatings, hair-flying, shirt-ripping and a lot more, with of course the swearing and profanity that goes along with it!
Of course you have your share of almost naked girl fights, bootylicious G-string fights and all the kind of variations you can expect from such DVD. You will be amazed at all the raw violence included in this DVD. Sex and violence, that’s the perfect mix.
Check out the DVD preview to see by yourself. Of course this excerpt is kind of “softcore” compare to the real version. Google wouldn’t accept that kind of highlight.

UFC 86 Tickets - Quinton Jackson Vs. Forrest Griffin - LAS VEGAS NEVADA Mandalay Bay July 5
Posted by Zdot on Apr 14, 2008
After being opposite coaches in the Ultimate Fighter Season 7, Quinton Jackson and Forrest Griffin will square off in the octagon at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas for the light heavyweight UFC title.
Jackson, the reigning champion, is favorite on paper. His record and impressive slam victories against top names are legendary.
On the other hand, Forrest Griffin never had a superstar status because of his Ultimate Fighter reality show background, until his recent impressive victory against Mauricio Shogun Rua in his last fight at UFC 76.
Lets see who win that fight. I personally take rampage on this one but you never know. In MMA, everything can happen.
Fight Card of the Night
- Quinton Jackson Vs. Forrest Griffin
- Joe Stevenson Vs. Gleison Tibau
- Frank Mir Vs. Justin McCully
