UFC 81: Breaking Point, the next Ultimate Fighting Championship event will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, February 2, 2008.
Randy Couture, the reigning UFC heavyweight champion, recently resigned his UFC contract and refused a title fight against the number one contender.
The UFC decided to match up their n°1 ranked fighter, Rodrigo Nogueira, versus the former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Tim Silva for the Interim World Heavyweight Championship title.
But the biggest anticipated fight of the night is, without any doubt, the Brock Lesnar’s UFC debut. The well known and intimidating WWE pro-wrestler and NCAA wrestling champion will face Frank Mir, a well rounded and much more experienced mma fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion in his first UFC appearance and 2nd MMA fight in his career.
